James Pitard is a senior from Birmingham, AL studying Finance and Economics and a minor in Risk Management. Pledging in the Spring of 2020, James serves as the chair of the Community Outreach Committee and as Alpha Rho’s UGC Delegate. In his free time, he loves to read (obviously), watch movies, listen to music, and workout. After graduation, James will move to Atlanta for his new job and hopes with brother blogs such as this he can leave a lasting impact on the brotherhood that has done so much for him during his time at The University of Alabama. Amanda Bugos is a freshman from Houston, Texas majoring in marketing with a special interest in sports. Since she is a freshman at UA, she is just starting to get involved in campus. Other than being a new brother of Alpha Rho, Amanda is also a member of the UA Water Ski Team and an honors student in the business school. Her interests include watching and going to sporting events (especially the Houston Rockets), anything related to boats and water sports, photography, music, and of course traveling.

Isaac Chambers is junior from Atlanta, GA, currently majoring in marketing and minoring both professional sales and computer technology & applications. He is passionate about working to improve minority representation on campus by serving as the Director of Campus Outreach for First Fellows and as a Peer Leader for the First Year Experience program. Isaac has been active and engaged with Alpha Rho since his initiation in Fall 2017, most recently serving as Chapter Collaboration Chair. When Isaac isn’t at The Capstone, he loves attending concerts and visiting new cities with his friends.

The New Yorker, Christopher Rogers is a senior majoring in philosophy, english, and history with a political science and a broader minority studies minor on the pre-law track. He values Love, mentorship, and equality and devotes his free time fostering relationships, cooking, and traveling to New York. When not boarding a plane to his favorite city, he is servicing events at the student union, blogging recipes, couture, and advice columns and for the reason you are here – planning his next trip to New York!

HOW A SPRING BREAK TRIP INFLUENCED MY CAREER

Katie Nunez is a junior from Nashville, TN majoring in public relations and international studies with a spanish minor. She is involved on campus through her work at the student union and the International Relations Club. Katie is passionate about travel and languages, and can often be found running, obsessing over her calendar, or drinking unhealthy amounts of coffee in her free time. An Army brat, Katie icares about giving back to her community and plans on pursuing a career in government public affairs where she can combine her love for communication and public service.

INSPIRATION IN ITS SIMPLEST FORM

Kelsey Tubbs is a freshman biology major and psychology minor. She has a desire to learn, travel, and experience new things in both the world of science and the world of business. Kelsey spent her recent summers traveling with friends, as well as volunteering at DCH Regional Medical Center in the emergency and cardiac departments. As much as she loves to travel and experience new places, Tuscaloosa is her hometown and she will always scream Roll Tide from wherever life takes her. ​
