THE PROCESS

The Alpha Rho Chapter of Alpha Kappa Psi at the University of Alabama holds two rush terms per school year, one in the fall and one in the spring. These periods typically involve a series of events, such as informational sessions, meet and greets, professional events, and social activities, where interested students have the opportunity to learn about the fraternity, meet current members, and interact with the chapter. Alpha Kappa Psi brothers enjoy access to recruiting corporate sponsors, a strong network of successful alumni, a diverse array of professional development opportunities and social events. Further down this page, information about the current rush term can be found.

RUSH REQUIREMENTS

During each Rush term, students interested in rushing AKPsi must have a minimum of a 3.0 GPA, submit the official Rush Application (can be found below), and complete the following:

• Attend one Informational Session.
• Attend one Rush Event (not including Informational Sessions or Speed Networking).
• Attend Speed Networking.
• Complete Rush Application.
• Complete an Initial Interview, if invited.

Without fulfilling these requirements within the given Rush term, an invitation to continue the process to Brotherhood cannot be granted. If extenuating circumstances prevent these requirements from being fulfilled, please contact the VP of Membership (membership@akpsibama.org) to discuss possible arrangements.
